Favorite Dining Rooms Before & After
The holidays are approaching quickly. Too quickly! Is your dining room is set to host guests, both functionally, to make your life easier, and aesthetically, to make a stylistic impression?
If not, see the round up of our favorite dining room before and afters to find your inspiration.
Below are our favorite Before and After’s from the last 10 years of Interior Design and Decorating of some great Denver dining rooms. Slide the arrows in the center of the photos to watch it transform from Before into After.
This is one of our most recently completed projects and I have to say that I just love this dining room. It’s moody and sophisticated, without becoming too dark.
The client had purchased the modern dining table and chairs. The Beautiful Habitat team used this black and white base to create an overall color scheme of black and white but warmed up with a deep green wall color. We added modern drapery to soften the space and the bold wall color, yet also dress up the dining room as a formal space.

Our Interior Design plans took this dining room from old school traditional and fussy, to New Traditional Design, with a touch of glam. The room before had too many dark elements, making it feel cave like and oppressive. Our new design lightened the room and finishes, and added some elements of Glam Design.
I’ve talked many times here about using modern, streamlined drapery. This room is a perfect example of the old drapery style versus new.

In this Wash Park Denver remodel, we brightened the dining room space by adding a new French door in place of the window. We also created a dual dining room and home office space.
In this dining room our clients had a good start by selecting the furniture. The fireplace is a fabulous bonus feature, but this one just disappeared. The brown on brown décor was uninspiring. Our dining room design plans added a burst of color and made the fireplace the focal point it always should have been.

In this home decor project, we found another brown on brown dining room that was a little lackluster. In this case, our client is such a colorful, happy person that this room just didn’t align. We took inspiration from her more glam choice in chandelier and created a room that better matched her personality in a Maximal Design Style.

Quick note: we will design dining rooms that are colors other than blue. See the first before and after and our title photos. The truth is, we just have a lot of clients that love the color blue.
Of course, a formal dining room isn’t for everyone. If you find that your dining room is just a junk collector or a wasted or neglected space, re-think it! You don’t have to follow the rules and have a formal dining room if it doesn’t fit your lifestyle.
