Modern Meets Ranch in Castle Pines

The homeowner moved into a newly built home in Castle Pines, Colorado. The home had a nice layout and features but was a bland box of white on white on white. Our client purchased a few items, and then felt overwhelmed and didn’t want to make a mistake. He contacted Beautiful Habitat to help infuse the home with personality and warmth.

The clients are part of a family of Cattle Ranchers. He wanted a design to pay homage to the ranching and cowboy heritage, but also keeping the home modern and sophisticated.

Interior Design of New Home in Castle Pines Denver
The open floorplan features a Great room with Kitchen, Dining Room and Living Room completely open to one another. The Beautiful Habitat team created a design that coordinates the whole space, while defining the different zones of the room.
The client had selected leather bar stools, which seemed out of place in the all-white room. Instead of replacing them, the Beautiful Habitat team added coordinating leather accents in a living room side chair and leather wrapped around the arms of the dining room light fixture We added modern pendant lights to add more character to the white kitchen.
Modern, Masculine Dining Room
The client had purchased the modern dining table and chairs. The Beautiful Habitat team used this black and white base to create an overall color scheme of black and white but warmed up with a deep green wall color. The dining space within a great room is adjacent to stairs to the basement. We added a textured grasscloth wallpaper on the wall above the stairs.
Modern Dining Room designer details
Window treatments in modern fabric add a formal element and softness to the dining room. The fabric continues the black and white design plan. The artwork was chosen to make a statement on the large wall. The white artwork keeps the dark wall from overpowering the room.
Interior Design Castle Pines Colorado
In the living room we added sophisticated color and texture. The sectional is large enough for the whole family, including the dogs Hank and Tex. The overall color scheme is black and white with hints of caramel leather. We added texture in new window coverings over the sliding door and a statement light fixture. The room was completed with a deep green wall color to add depth and warmth.
Perfectly styled bar cart
The client’s existing bar cart was given a modern ranch vibe through a modern take on cattle skull art.
Design an Inviting Entryway | Home Design Inspiration
The all white entry was not inviting or inspiring. To create character, we repeated the wallpaper from the dining room on the ceiling. We also added our rich green wall color on the entry door and side wall. New artwork, area rug and furniture complete the space.
Horse Ranch theme bathroom design
The powder room is always a place you can add more fun elements. Here, we created a whimsical nod to the cowboy life with a horse wallpaper. There are a leather strap details on the mirror and towel holder.
Sophisticated Cowboy interior design for a real rancher
The client had already selected the horse artwork and leather bed and chair. We enhanced the space with wallpaper that looks and feels like weathered barn wood as an accent in the bedroom and bathroom. We repeated our caramel leathers with a new bench and light fixture. The stunning light fixture also has a stirrup detail to continue our ranching theme.
Modern Masculine Home Interior Design
To keep the ranch features balanced with modern design, we incorporated new artwork and drapery with mid-century inspired shapes.
