“Autumn – the year’s last, loveliest smile.”
That quote is by the poet William Cullen Bryant and fully sums up this post. Fall is officially upon us with this recent cold spell through Colorado, and much of the US. The leaves are changing and will fall soon, the days are shorter and there is a definite change in the air. The colder air brings with it much inspiration in the warm, vibrant, spicy colors and the desire to nest and spend more time in our interiors, but still looking out on this beauty. Here are several images that I find beautiful and inspiring in this autumnal season. Enjoy!
“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.” ― Lauren DeStefano, Wither
“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” ― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
This one reminds me of Colorado, with the mountains and Aspen. However, I’m not sure where it was taken.
“No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace, As I have seen in one autumnal face.” ― John Donne
“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” ― Albert Camus
