Pop Top Brings This Wash Park Home Up to Par

This Wash Park home needed a serious increase in space and style. So, we popped the top and gave the main level a whole new look.

Wash Park Pop Top Addition
Pop top additions are a great way to reinvent an older home. Red brick makes everything blend smoothly. The rotunda wall was carried right through the new addition to create a seamless look — as though it had always been this way.
Denver Washington Park Kitchen
Polished stone countertops and varied wood stains on the floor and cabinets create a natural and laidback vibe in this Wash Park kitchen. The gourmet kitchen is perfect for the chef homeowner who used to run a cooking school.
Denver Wash Park Kitchen
Open shelving keeps the island from feeling too heavy in this kitchen. Despite the kitchen’s compact size, there is ample storage countertop space for food prep and entertaining.
Denver dining room
Exposed brick is the star of the show in this open flow dining room. The warm gray trim accents the original brick and draws attention to the gentle curve of the wall.
Denver Wash Park Living Room
A shortcut to a warm and inviting living room is to use layers of texture and color, with abundant seating, all demonstrated here with a shag-style rug, large sofa, blue side chairs and patterned pillows.
Wash Park Sitting Room
This corner is the perfect place to catch up with a good book and summon relaxation with its four useful and functional items: a great chair, no-fuss side table, ample lighting and soft pillow.
Wash Park Mudroom Design
With exposed brick walls, there’s no need for art in a mudroom that mixes old with new. Cityscape wall hooks keep the space lively and upbeat, and the bench below doubles as storage to maximize space.
Denver Home Office Design
What was once an unusable front porch space is now a new office thanks to creating a new traffic pattern with a new entrance door. A beautiful honed natural stone console table takes center stage in this office space fit for client visits. The mosaic mirror and enormous red vases add character and elegance.
Wash Park Powder Room
Oversized bright white subway tiles with a strip of black add interest and appeal in this small bathroom. A classic porcelain pedestal sink with jet black hardware offers a new twist on an old classic.
Denver staircase
A custom staircase with woodwork that matches the 1900s-era of the home creates access to the new second floor.
Denver Bedroom Design
Although this second-floor bedroom is new, the brick rotunda wall mimics the dining room wall directly below, hiding any evidence that it’s not original to the home. A bright headboard is an excellent way to bring color into a bedroom. Pair it with crisp white bedding with the same color piping for a pulled together look. Geo prints add fun and flavor.
Denver Custom Woodwork
Quality comes first in this home—even this closet with stylish gray wood doors and brushed stainless steel handles boasts craftsmanship.
Wash Park Custom Shower
White and black subway tiles give a bathroom a timeless appeal. Dark gray grout makes for easy upkeep. Brushed stainless steel fixtures with a vintage look give a nod to the period of the home.
Wash Park Bathroom Vanity
A neutral color palette makes this bathroom calming and tranquil. Cream cabinets coupled with a cream countertop keep the vibe soft, while sculptural pieces along the shelves add a striking touch.
Wash Park Master Bedroom
Incorporating one beautiful color into an otherwise monotone room changes the whole feel. This sea blue feels extra luxurious with its satin texture, and inside the light, it’s an added surprise!
Wash Park Bedroom with Custom Headboard
A sapphire blue tufted satin upholstered headboard adds a touch of elegance to the master bedroom. Headboards are a great way to incorporate color without overdoing it. When it comes to creating an inviting bed, it’s all about the textures, fabrics and colors. This blue/white combo looks soft, luxurious and divine.
Denver master bathroom
This master bath is both elegant and classic. Extra cabinet space offers plenty of storage. Stainless steel fixtures help finish the look. Using only three main colors keeps the room open and fresh.
Denver Custom Tilework
Make a floor pop by using stylish cement tiles. This print makes a big statement without overpowering the room. Medium brown stained wood cabinets carry in earth elements and warm the gray tones throughout the space.
