Upon moving into this Boulder County home, its traditional, formal interior design style didn’t fit the client’s casual personality. The family wanted to personalize the spaces into a more casual feel while still honoring the style of the home itself. Having worked with Beautiful Habitat to successfully style their former Broomfield home, they chose the company again for this project. The resulting transformation was rewarding for all involved.

Boulder County Living Rm Details — Using different fabric patterns and textures creates a sense of personality. The use of color doesn’t need to be contained to upholstery. Flowers, books, and knickknacks in similar hues bring it all together.

White Hawk FR — Soft, cool tones foster a sense of peacefulness in a room designed for lounging. With floor-to-ceiling windows, the line between outside and in blurs. Tossing in pillows, with the same print as the curtains, polishes off the space.

White Hawk Piano Rm — A gathering room this large, with an angled ceiling, can handle a stunning wall hue without dwarfing the space. Creating a seating area around the piano, complete with glass chandelier and plush upholstered chairs, makes it welcoming, while the large rug spread over the tile floor optimizes the room acoustically.

Boulder County Formal Dining Room — Thoughtfully chosen hues of blue and cream help liven the beige dining room. Added patterned décor pieces in the same color scheme round out the look while the traditional chandelier pulls it all together.

White Hawk Kitchen — This cream kitchen stands out with the use of natural stone and dark wood cabinetry. Metal pull handles complement sink hardware and chair décor accents. Pearl backsplash in a diamond pattern continues the sense of refinement.

Boulder County Custom Painting Girls Bedroom — While this swirled painting is a custom mural, wall decals are a unique solution to bringing a pop of color and style to a room without spending too much money. This is ideal in a child’s space where they may outgrow the design faster than expected. Swirled bedding complements the curved wall element and tops off the room.

Boulder County Girls Bedroom Custom Window Coverings — Swirls and colors are used for the valences and the drapery at the sliding door. The purple and blue tones match perfectly with the rest of the decor.
